Bandung Declaration on Occupational Safety and Health in Asia |

Asia has now taken centre stage of the
global industrial production. The Asian region also suffers from the
highest rates of industrial accidents, diseases and deaths with more
than a million people dying every year due to work related reasons1.
This massacre of workers is an insult to the human rights framework
that was soul of the Bandung declaration2 in 1955.

The Asia Ban Asbestos Network (A-BAN) will conduct it meeting this coming October 17, 2010 at Hotel Horison Bandung , Bandung, Indonesia.
Participants will be coming from the Asian region and international anti-asbestos activists are expected to participate. This will be back-to-back with the Asian Network for Rights of Occupational Accident Victims Annual Meeting 2010 .
